Dominican Republic

Perfect holiday for young and old - Giant nodding palm trees - Long fine sandy beach

Why Dominica?
It has a favorable flight time, a beautiful beach with fine sand, high-quality hotels ensure perfect relaxation for all age groups at favorable prices. Are you familiar with the Bounty chocolate commercial?

Which holiday resort?
Punta Cana - Bavaro Beach Punta Cana is one of the largest and fastest growing vacation destinations in the Caribbean. If you feel like it, you can walk along the approximately 40 kilometer long white sand beach. Since this is the most popular beach, we can expect more crowds here.
La Romana: It is characterized by smaller stretches of beach, many hotels are popular vacation spots for local families. The color of the ocean here is also fabulous, but it does not have the same effect as the long beautiful beach at Bavaro Beach.
Uvero Alto: Punta Cana's northernmost beach. Crystal clear sea water, the sand is silky soft and slightly darker than further south. Highly recommended for surfers, but a great place to practice any water sport.
Cap Cana: The ocean plays in wonderful colors, a white sandy beach awaits guests. In the vicinity of hotels located in these areas, small towns are less common, where we can go shopping in our boring moments. The appearance of sea grass is more typical here. We recommend Cap Cana to those who are not visiting Dominica for the first time or who specifically want peace and relaxation.

When should we travel?
The majority of travelers travel to Dominica mainly in winter. In summer it is hot, but it often rains, in winter there are significantly fewer rainy days and the air temperature is perfect. The least amount of rain falls in the months of January, February, March and April. Climate: It is characterized by a tropical monsoon climate, the dry season lasts from November to May, the rainy season is in summer, but short-lived tropical rains must be expected continuously. The hurricane period was moved to the months of August, September and October, based on the experience of the past years.

Necessary for travel
Passport: The condition for travel is a passport valid for at least 6 months after arrival.

Until the transition to the new system, travelers whose flight tickets do not yet have the cost of the tourist card of USD 10 included can still purchase it at the border crossing upon entering the country.
With the tourist card, you can stay in the country for 60 days.
