The cruise lines mostly offer full board, so one of the costs incurred is the cost of drinking. The cruise companies charge a mandatory gratuity to the passengers' account. This cost is a predetermined amount that is distributed among the staff members.
In each port, you can choose from a number of optional excursions organized by the cruise company. Of course, these are not mandatory, the given mooring point can also be discovered individually. If you're exploring solo, getting back on board in time is of the most importante. Each ship has its own wellness area. The cost of beauty care treatments is not included in the price of the cruise, the services used are payable at the end of the cruise.
2. Does the cruise include travel insurance?
In general, cruises do not include travel insurance. During the COVID pandemic, Costa and MSC cruises offer their own insurance that covers events related to Covid, which can be taken out at the time of booking. baggage insurance. In several countries, entry into the country is already subject to the availability of adequate travel insurance (USA, United Arab Emirates, etc.).
Upon boarding, Passengers must present their insurance policy for inspection, which must contain the details of the insurer, the insured amount and proof that the insurance has full coverage for COVID-19. Passengers who cannot present the appropriate certificates in English will be denied boarding.
3. Can I pay by credit card/debit card on the ship?
Yes. The condition is that the card is embossed. There is no direct cash flow on the ship during the cruise. Consumption, excursions, tips, and shopping costs are charged to the passenger card received upon boarding. After boarding the ship, you will be asked if you would like to pay your expenses in cash or by credit card at the end of the cruise. Depending on this, they either ask for a deposit in cash or block the amount of the deposit on the credit card. The credit card will be debited with an amount at the end of the trip. We generally recommend a seven-night cruise as a first cruise.
6. Which cabin should I choose?
The basic cabin types are interior cabins with windows and balconies, but of course you can also choose from mini-suites and various other suites.
The interior cabins do not have windows, they are located in the middle of the ship on both the lower and upper levels, so you can choose between several categories of interior cabins depending on the location on the ship. Their size is on average 14-18 m2 depending on the shipping company.
Cabins with windows are mostly located on the lower two passenger levels of the ships. Their windows cannot be opened. Depending on the ship and cabin, there may be round or panoramic windows. Some ships also have cabins with windows on the upper decks. Their size is on average 16-18 m2 depending on the shipping company.
In the case of cabins with a balcony, you can go out onto the balcony, and there is garden furniture on the balcony. The size of the cabins is on average 18-24 m2 depending on the shipping company.
The size of the suites is unique and the special services associated with the suite also differ depending on the type of suite and the ship company.
7. How far in advance should the cruises be booked?
It depends on the shipping company and route. In the case of itineraries that only depart at one or two times and follow a special route, it is worth booking up to 1 year before departure, in the case of certain shipping companies and itineraries, it may be worth waiting for discounted prices. In general, it can be said that the earlier we book, the more secure the booking at the pre-booking price.
8. What does full service mean for cruises?
Drinks that can be consumed for breakfast, which are prepared in the restaurant, or drinks can be chosen from the vending machine and can be consumed free of charge, but drinks ordered in the restaurant at lunch, dinner, or the cost of the drinks consumed in the bar will be charged to our account. The cruise lines offer various drink packages, which can reduce the cost of drinking.
9. If I want to sail again, can I get a discount?
Each cruise line has its own frequent flyer program. With some cruise companies, registration is automatic, while with other shipping companies, registration must be made. The majority of cruise lines only provide on-board discounts depending on the level of the frequent flyer program the passenger is on.

10. Can I take part in a cruise while pregnant?
Mothers-to-be can only take part in a cruise if the cruise ends before the 24th week of pregnancy. Another condition for participation in the cruise is the presence of a medical certificate.
11. What do the turns mean at dinner?
The seated dinner takes place in two shifts. The time of these changes varies by ship company and ship route. Usually, guests who choose the first seating have dinner between 18:00 and 19:00, and those who choose the second seating start between 20:15 and 21:15. The application for the tours will be forwarded to the ship company as a passenger preference. There are also some cruise lines where you can have dinner in a more informal way, anytime between 18:00 and 22:00, in the same seated form as in the tour version, but not sitting at the same table every night.
12. Can I use my mobile phone on the ship? Can I do an internship?
Of course, but please note that mobile phone calls on the high seas cost between HUF 1,000 and HUF 1,500/minute. Please contact your telephone service provider for the exact fees. The condition for using a mobile phone on board is that the phone is suitable for connecting to the ship's satellite phone system. We recommend making calls near the coast by connecting to the partner network of your service provider in the given country. Internet access is also available on the ships. Various packages can be purchased, and most ships already have Wi-Fi.
13. What is the warranty cabin?
At times close to departure, especially in the case of discounted cabins, or when there are very few vacancies on the ship overall, the shipping companies sell certain categories as guaranteed cabins, which means that the exact cabin number will only be revealed after the reservation has been finalized. In the case of booking a guaranteed cabin, the shipping company always guarantees the minimum category, but it can also decide to provide a higher category at no extra cost. Unfortunately, we cannot influence the location of the received cabin, the position of the two cabins in relation to each other, or their category in the case of booking two warranty cabins.
14. Is there a Hungarian assistance on the ships?
In many cases, there are Hungarians among the crew members on the ships, but they cannot be counted on as assistance. A minimum knowledge of a foreign language (mainly English) is recommended for a cruise, because the daily information material on the ship contains important information, e.g. disembarking and boarding times, restaurant opening hours, daily program options.
15. Are there any age restrictions for cruises?
Most of our cruises are recommended for the age group of 0.5 - 99 years.
In the case of longer or special itineraries and expedition trips, the shipping companies can establish stricter conditions regarding the minimum age of children.
